Description: Inn At Huntingfield Creek B&b |
Inn at Huntingfield Creek is situated on the oldest land parcel in Kent County, granted by Lord Baltimore to Thomas Ringgold in 1661. Once a 1200 acre manor estate, it now occupies 70 choice acres with 1100 feet of gorgeous shoreline on the Huntingfield Inlet. Step inside the inn and you will be delighted with the rich colors and gracious furnishings, the perfect blending of old and new. The inviting dining room is an eclectic blend of antique and contemporary furnishings including an impressive chandelier and fireplace. Breakfasts are always a creative labor of love designed to delight the palate through delicious and creative seasonal offerings. Spend a day strolling the many gardens, the grassy promenade, or taking in a beautiful sunset on the dock. In cooler months come inside and enjoy an afternoon listening to the sounds of the baby grand piano, taking in a movie on the big screen, or relaxing in the spacious seasoned cherry wood library. Be sure to check with the innkeepers to see what special events such as interactive cooking weekends, wildlife lectures, or art workshops might be scheduled during you stay.
Enjoy a good nights sleep when staying in these delightful rooms. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and the perfect place to unwind after the day's adventure. Whether the room has an exposed beam ceiling, gorgeous views of the sunrise and sunset, or a mesmerizing decor of color, guests will feel happy and well rested after staying in the rooms. Each room has a theme which one comes with a vaulted ceiling and skylights, sports a hunting theme in the bedroom, and dramatic cabbage rose design in the black and white bathroom with shower. A charming window seat reading nook overlooks the front lawn. The plush bed invites a good night's sleep. Another room is situated at the far end of the house with three views; east, west and north to the pond. It is dramatically decorated with navy walls, original artwork, an inviting bed, and cherry furnishings. A recessed window seat is a nice tuckaway spot for reading.
